So as you know, part one of the final climactic close of the course will take place on Thursday, May 14 from 3–5:50 PM and part two on Thursday, May 21 from 1–3 pm (note the time difference).

Please don’t be late, and naturally, don’t plan to assemble your project or continue building pieces past the start of the final!

Once again, this presentation is your time to shine — you will want to show off all of the pieces which you have created, but you will also want to present them in a manner that we can actually see them.

In addition to finalizing ONE WHOLE DVD package, I would also like you to create a clean and simple presentation of your media. On the day of the presentation, you will introduce your DVD package, as well as the presentation on the big projector.

Therefore, you will have a chance to “walk through” your project on the day of the final. This will be the final chance for you to really make this a believable piece of software, and naturally your final chance to demonstrate your prowess!

If you’re keeping track, the final items should include:

• Splash screen
• The interface (the overall structure, look & feel)
• Three tools with a “housing”
• Two windows which prompts user interaction
• Desktop icon
• Outer DVD sleeve element
• Actual design of DVD disk
• Inner 4-page, 2-sided, brochure (optional)

Note — On the Day of the Final:

MOST IMPORTANT: Upload files (see below) to CI Learn by 3:05 PM next class. Anything uploaded/submitted after 3:05PM is marked late and project will incur deduction.

Play it safe, arrive early and bring files on a USB drive in case there is a problem.

Be ready to present and walk-through your software and show packaging. You will each get approximately 5 minutes to present.

Remember that this final project figures for 15% of your grade in the class, and this is also your last chance to make a good impression!
