If you havnen’t, time to get your CD jewel case and chosen paper stocks! Optionally, you may create your own case!
- 8-page front/back printed booklet
- fully stapled and trimmed
- Tip: Think about paper stock choices!
- Disc Label Design
- Hints:
- Disc (CD) size is 4.65″ in diameter (4.9″ with bleed)
- Photoshop may be your easiest option, be sure to include bleed in dimensions (.125″ all around)
- You can purchase ready-made “disk-sized” stickers at your local office supply store, or cut VERY neatly and affix to a disk!
- Hints:
- Back panel of the jewel case, including folds for spine.
- Hints:
- Finished dimensions 5.906″ x 4.646″
- With bleed dimensions 6.156″ x 4.896″ (add .125″ all around)
- .25″ spine on each side (include the band name on both spines. Only needed on the outer-facing panel)
- Two-sided print which (includes the image behind the disc)
- Best as a Photoshop/InDesign combo

- Don’t forget to incorporate an analog piece in your project.

On critique day
Please arrive on time and ready to present (no late printing, trimming, etc.).
The package should be fully assembled and look as clean and professional as possible!
For your presentation (your final pitch to the client) think of incorporating the following:
- Concept. Tie it together throughout design (page by page).
- How each panel ties in
- What aspects of lyrics did you incorporate
- How you incorporated the analog piece
If possible, bring any extra prints of pages to be passed around during the critique.
